What Is Steampunk?

You have probably heard this curious phrase overused in the media recently, with images of people in clothes and held in Victoria, sporting all sorts of unusual accessories. You can imagine what the hell is that?

Steam Punk concept emerged in the 1980s and is used to a subculture of science fiction and fantasy to describe with a focus on alternative history.

Steampunk worlds in general to the period widely regarded as the Victorian era with many stories in Britain and America are known to focus, though there is a series of international adventures and a large following in Japan are steampunk. Since many of these sorts of adventures strange way, unusual and outdated transport have been able to take these stories to any location on, below or within the same world!

Although the term Steampunk was credited to author KW Jeter strikes when a set of books by Tim Powers and James Blaylock, you can find his early influences in the works of HG Wells and Jules Verne.
